History of Patients Against Lymphoma

About Us > History

We needed a place to store information we shared in our Internet support group.

 From Whence
We Came
NHL Patient support groups formed spontaneously on the Internet

* Tragically, Janet Nightingale recently lost her fight with Lymphoma. She was an extraordinary bright star in our online community. She will be missed and remembered.

As this site grows, the need to check links, grammar, remove the outdated, change emphasis ... expands as well.  You can help by notifying me by email.
I will be sure to acknowledge your contribution.

Patient support groups have formed spontaneously on the Internet. It did not take long to recognize the need to organize the information that flows continuously into these e-mail systems. To answer this need, we first created Lymphoma Information at Datafork. It allowed our group to post answers to frequently asked questions to a central location.

With a website in place, it became easier to provide answers to frequently asked questions.  for example:

"You can find information about PET scans on www.abc,.

Now we can also refine and verify the answers; provide supporting references, add related topics and links to other resources.  From the website, it's easier to organize and present the issues, advocate for change, . . . improve the system?  Well that still remains to be seen. : - )
