Detailed Treatment Summary

Name: Janet Rose, 51 yrs old

Central New Jerey

Dx: 49 yrs old, B cell stomach MALT, stage I

Tx: no h-pylori present hence 4 weeks of radiation of the lining of my stomach summer '00 (nausea and intestinal disruption but dissipated a few weeks after treatment was complete)

Follow up every 3 months the first 6 months, then every six months alternating CAT scans and endoscopy (switched to PET scans winter of 2001 due to intestinal sensitivity and special diet disallowing the drink for the CAT). All tests negative for MALT to date. June '02 absolutely no inflammation in the stomach for the first time in two years.

My oncologist credits my diet for the change in inflammation. It is called a specific carbohydrate diet (scd.com and scd.org) explained in a book by Elaine Gottschall called "Breaking the Vicious Cycle." I also have Lymphocytic Colitis which has been completely in remission with the diet. I am on no medications whatsoever - no acid reflux meds, no allergy meds, etc. which I had been on for years.

I am willing to be contacted at
